DIANE L. WILSON

Diane Wilson defines her work Acrylic-Infused Photography.  She has worked as a professional photographer for more than 30 years and is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.  She relates, "After working for many years as a photojournalist, in the early 2000s I decided to refocus my photography toward the artistic side. I quickly discovered, however, that professional photography had lost value in the digital age. I turned to painting on canvas for a while, but my true love remained behind the camera. One day, I had a long conversation with renowned artist Ali Cavanaugh, and she helped me begin thinking beyond the traditional lens. While traditional photography has been trapped within a frame, its contemporary equivalent need not be so confined. I created my first 3D photograph shortly thereafter."
