DAVE CARTERDave Carter received a BFA in Studio Art from Truman State University, Kirksville, Missouri, with concentrations in Painting, Ceramics, and Photography. He and his wife, Dr. Sally Carter, moved to Cape Girardeau, Missouri in 2014 where she is Director of Testing for Southeast Missouri State University.
Over the past four years, Dave has been honored to win a number of awards for his oil paintings in regional art competitions, as well as having several solo exhibits currently touring the State. He has been the featured speaker/artist in residence on numerous occasions throughout southern Missouri; the subject of newspaper, radio, and television interviews; and he has conducted a variety of seminars and workshops. Dave Carter is currently Vice-Chair of the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri, Co-Chair for the Visual Arts Cooperative in Cape, member of the Sainte Genevieve and Cat Ranch Artist Guilds, and a Juried Member of the Best of Missouri Hands.
